What led me to become a firearms instructor
I am Brandon Nadeau, owner and instructor for Guardian Defense LLC. As an outdoor enthusiast I grew up with firearms for both hunting and recreational shooting. My parents taught the significance of firearms safety and engrained in me a passion for safe firearms use from an early age. My training and experience in firearms fundamentals and tactics has been expanded as I have served in law enforcement as a Patrol Officer for over 10 years, a SWAT Operator for 3 years, and a firearms instructor for my department for 3 years. I also instructed youth firearms safety/hunter education courses for the MN DNR for 5 years. I have completed the following firearms instructor courses: USCCA Concealed Carry/Home Defense, Law Enforcement Pistol/Rifle/Shotgun from both Alexandria Community & Technical College and Ballistic Defense, and Red Dot Sight Instructor - Pistol by S.T.O.R.M. Training Group. As a firearms instructor my primary goals are to provide training that will improve the students' understanding of the responsibilities that come with the use of firearms, while improving their confidence in their abilities and knowledge. I aim to help to fine tune basic shooting fundamentals for new shooters and experienced shooters looking to reach that next level. I also embrace the significant impact critical defense incidents can have on someone, and seek to prepare students for the physical, emotional, legal and financial aftermath they might face.
